The Harpenden Infantometer is a high accuracy, counter recording instrument specifically designed for post-neonate growth studies. It may be used in conjunction with, and as a follow-up instrument to, the Harpenden Neonatometer. Its freely moving, ball-bearing mounted, carriage is operated via a constant pressure lever, which automatically locks the carriage at the correct measuring point. This device ensures reproducibility of measurement and effectively eliminated variation due to differing operator techniques.
